Water Quality Information
Arrowbee residents have spent many years safely enjoying swimming in the lake.
However, a variety of environmental factors affect recreational water quality, including whether algae (harmful algal bloom or HAB) is producing toxins at a given time and place. In fact, any water body anywhere in the world can have any number of pollutants at any given time.
There is no single “test” that will say whether or not an entire water body is “safe”. For this reason, the FCLOA advises that members and their guests swim at their own risk.
